Stray Dogs Center, the UAE-based animal shelter, is once again calling for volunteers to help them beautify their space through painting Pacifica murals. Led by David Tito-Nekeare, the event will take place on Friday, April 29th, at 9 am at the Stray Dogs Center located in Umm Al Quwain.
The Stray Dogs Center was established in 2013 and relies solely on public support to operate. The shelter currently provides a home for 780 dogs, 15 cats, and 4 wonky donkeys. The center’s efforts in animal welfare have been nothing short of miraculous. The organization has rescued and rehomed thousands of dogs in the UAE.
Recently, the shelter opened a new free run area for the dogs that are housed farthest from the main sanctuary free run. This move has allowed these dogs to enjoy a larger space to run and play freely.
However, the center’s journey is far from over, and they need the public’s help to continue their efforts. By volunteering to paint Pacifica murals at the shelter, you can make a meaningful contribution to animal welfare in the UAE. All stencils have been drawn, and color codes have been marked; all that is left is for willing volunteers to bring them to life.
If painting is not your thing, there are other ways to support the center. The shelter usually holds weekly activities such as dog walks and dog socialization events that you can support. Every little bit helps in the effort to care for and rehome stray dogs in the UAE.
