What is Rabies?

The virus can be transmitted to humans through bites, scratches, or licks on broken skin.

The rabies virus travels from the site of infection to the brain and spinal cord where it starts to multiply. It then spreads to other parts of the body, including saliva glands and hair follicles.

Is the Rabies Vaccine important?

Definitely! Rabies vaccine is a mandatory part of the annual vaccination for dogs in the UAE, and is best for your pet’s health making sure they are healthy and safe from the virus.

  • Mild fever
  • Tiredness
  • Loss of appetite
