I have a 8 week old pup (The mom passed away)
Is goat’s milk good for her? If yes, how much can I give a day?
It’s better to visit a vet if you have lots of questions as your pup is still young, our vet never recommend any kind of milk which is not for dogs, but it may depend with other vets
Dry dog food would be enough. But goats milk is safe for dogs, so if you do decide to give some it should be a very small quantity with some water. The idea is to give them the nutritional value but without compromising on their health. Puppies do learn to grow with what they’re given so don’t make it a habit for the pup. You can also give wet food as well made for pups in case you wanna give it a try, but usually the pup gets used to having the dry food only.
Goat milk is more nutritious than the other milk, mix it with a bit of dogfood for puppies. You can crush it and mix it with warm water until runny, then mix it to the goats milk. 10 ml every 8hrs would be fine.
