Losing a beloved pet can be one of the most heartbreaking experiences. For many of us, our pets are not just animals—they are family. When we lose them, the grief can feel overwhelming and isolating.
Understanding this deep emotional bond, 4get-me-not has opened its doors to pet owners who are looking for a unique and creative way to process their grief.
4get-me-not recently launched their Chocoholics Grief Support Group, an initiative where individuals can express their grief through art. Although originally designed to help those grieving human loved ones, the group is now extending its support to pet owners who have lost their cherished companions.
If you’ve recently experienced the loss of a pet and are searching for a way to channel your feelings, these workshops offer a safe and supportive space where you can do just that.
Founded in 2013 by Desirée Vlekken, 4get-me-not is the first Social Enterprise in the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East focused on Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). The organization was established to create a social platform for families and caregivers of AD patients, primarily seniors aged 60 and above.
4get-me-not is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of quality of life, particularly for seniors, and advocates for those living with Alzheimer’s Disease. With AD affecting one in three seniors globally, 4get-me-not collaborates with the Alzheimer’s Society and the World Health Organization to address this pressing issue in innovative ways.
