Dog Shot in Fujairah: Community Outraged and Demands Justice

It is with a heavy heart that we report yet another senseless act of animal cruelty in our community. The team at Animals & Us Fujairah received a distress call about a dog shot multiple times in broad daylight outside a shop in Fujairah. 

According to eyewitnesses, the dog, who was known to frequently sit outside the shop, was approached by an individual who got out of their car, shot the innocent animal four times at point-blank range, and then drove away without a second thought.

We are deeply saddened and outraged by this horrific act of violence. The dog, now named Chance, was rushed to a vet in Dubai where it was determined that he had been shot four times in the neck, shoulder, and legs, with bullet fragments lodged in his spine.

Chance is currently in severe shock, struggling to comprehend the trauma he has endured. The team is doing everything in their power to provide him with the medical care he needs to recover and give him a chance at life, love, and justice.

However, they cannot do this alone. As a community, it is our responsibility to come together and take action to prevent such atrocities from happening. 

We urge anyone with information about this incident to come forward and help us bring the perpetrator to justice.

We also remind our readers that animal cruelty is a crime in the UAE and urge anyone who witnesses such behavior to report it to the authorities immediately.

In the meantime, the team is taking donations to help cover the cost of Chance’s medical expenses and the ongoing care of the animals in our rescue.
