Dog Leaves Hospital with Vet Staff’s Sweet Farewell Surprise

Right from the beginning, Paulo Santoro and his beloved dog, Luck, formed an unbreakable bond. Their connection goes beyond words – they understand each other with just a glance.

However, a few months ago, their close companionship faced a serious threat.

While taking a stroll near their home in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Paulo Santoro and Luck encountered a group of armed individuals who intended to rob them. Sensing danger, they quickly tried to escape, but gunshots echoed behind them.

In the chaos, Luck was hit in the back. Acting swiftly, Paulo rushed Luck to a nearby veterinary clinic in the hopes of saving his life. “The bleeding was stopped,” Paulo recounted. However, Luck’s journey to recovery was far from over.

The gunshot wound led to complications, requiring Luck to undergo three challenging surgeries conducted by a dedicated medical team. “Luck spent 55 days in the hospital,” Paulo shared. “His determination to survive was remarkable. He’s truly a fighter.”

@folhavitoria Emocionante! During this time, Luck became more than just a patient to the veterinary staff – he became a symbol of inspiration and strength.

The vet team found hope in Luck’s resilience and came to consider him a dear friend.

When the day finally came for Luck to leave the hospital, the staff surprised him with a special farewell. “It was an overwhelming feeling of happiness,” Paulo recalled.

Months have passed since then, and Luck’s recovery continues to progress remarkably well.

Making him bounce back wonderfully and deepening their connection.

Interestingly, the emotional farewell Luck received from the veterinary team wasn’t meant to be a final goodbye. Whenever possible, they visit the vet hospital.
