Animals and Us, Fujairah – How Can you help?
It was a nice break from the summer heat when the UAE had some rain showers – but it turned into quite a predicament when it started flooding especially for a shelter like Animals and Us Fujairah.
On June 28, as floodings were rising in Fujairah – it was unbearable for the team to see that many people and animals have lost everything, some even their own lives.
The main shelter was fully flooded with supplies and food all destroyed, but on the bright side all the shelter dogs have been saved.
Though they have been hit by a huge disaster with their shelter extension, temporary shelter for the sickly dogs that has distemper, special needs site and Michelle’s home has now been sunken deep. They need your support more than ever!
Who is Animals and Us, Fujairah?
They are an animal shelter based in Fujairah, UAE that is home to nearly 400 dogs and almost 100 cats. Most of their animals are rescued off the streets of Fujairah where there are unfortunately thousands of strays.
The shelter is run by Michelle – a full-time school teacher and a very small team of volunteers who all work tirelessly around their full time jobs.

They are currently in need of the following items to support their day to day operations, and still be able to do rescues
- Generator – AED 25k
- SUV / VAN – AED 40k
- x3 Portacabins (quarantine houses) – AED 18k each including all labour and fixings
