Are you based in Abu Dhabi and looking for a lovely addition to your family? Abu Dhabi Animal Shelter (ADAS) has lots of doggies waiting to be brought to their furrever home.

About Abu Dhabi Animal Shelter (ADAS)

The shelter was established on 15th April, 2010 following the decision of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council to have a shelter for stray cats and dogs in the emirate.

ADAS is managed by the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital and was made so in consideration of the best international practices for animal welfare.

Large kennels and catteries are set on site of the shelter to accommodate dogs and cats that are waiting for their furrever homes.

All the animals are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped along with preventative treatment for fleas and worms.

You can find the shelter site located between Abu Dhabi International Airport and Al Shamkha.

Abu Dhabi Animal Shelter Adoption Process

Prior to adoption, all pets undergo a rigorous health examination and castration process, to make sure they are healthy for you to take home.

  1. Choose a pet on their website and book an appointment to see them in the shelter. Through this link – Book an appointment
  2. Once you are set and have decided, fill up an adoption form and complete the formalities.
  3. Take your furrbaby home 🐶🐾

Incase you’re looking for a special breed, you can register through the Wish a Pet section and you will be notified once they have it, wherein you can schedule an appointment for adoptions.
