Remembering Miami: The Story of a Beloved Shelter Dog Who Touched Many Hearts
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Miami’s passing. After months of fighting for her case, RAK Animal Welfare Center was finally able to send her to Dubai for an MRI. Unfortunately, Miami passed away on the table during the procedure.
In our previous blog article, we shared the story of Miami, one of the beloved shelter dogs at Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Center (RAK AWC).
Miami arrived at the shelter as a healthy and active puppy, but suddenly lost the ability to move her hind legs. Despite getting an X-ray, the cause of her condition remained unknown, and they could not afford to send her for an MRI.
The RAK AWC team was doing everything in their power to help her recover and reached out to the community for support. However, we are heartbroken to share that Miami has passed away, and we have updates on her story.
The exact cause of her death is still unknown, and they are awaiting the final results of the post-mortem examination. The team at RAKAWC is heartbroken and shocked by this sudden loss. Miami was a beloved member of their shelter, and they had hoped for a different outcome.
Despite this devastating news, they want to express their gratitude to everyone who supported Miami’s case and tried to help her. It is clear that Miami touched many hearts and inspired a community of animal lovers to come together to support her.
Although Miami is no longer with us, her story serves as a reminder of the importance of animal welfare and the need for resources to help animals in need.
