Taking Responsibility as a Pet Owner

As a pet owner, we have a responsibility to provide our furry friends with the love and care they deserve. From feeding them nutritious meals to taking them for daily walks, it’s crucial that we prioritize their well-being in every way possible.

A puppy has been yet again left out in the heat of the balcony for a couple day by it’s owners. Wherein Smuro UAE has been to the rescue to try and help out the poor soul.

A resident in the JVC area has reported to the rescue group after seeing the puppy left out in the balcony for 2 days in a state that is not clean or safe – surrounded by it’s own potty. With the weather being drastically hot, windy and some showers, it is hard to imagine how the puppy is surviving outside.

Smuro UAE has reached out to the owner of the puppy but have not been welcomed warmly, wherein they have been yelled and have received inappropriate comments after offering to take care of the puppy and doing tests for free as it seemed sickly.

The case have been escalated to Dubai Municipality but still no cooperation from the owner as of yet as the puppy is still left outside.

As a pet owner, it is your responsibility to provide your furry friend with everything they need to live a happy and healthy life. This includes a nutritious diet, plenty of exercise, regular vet check-ups, and lots of love and attention.

Responsibilities of a Pet Owner

As a pet owner, it is your responsibility to ensure the health and safety of your furry friend. Here are some tips to help you do just that:

1- Provide a clean living environment:

Keeping your dog safe in a clean home environment, and sheltered away from all the harm of the outdoor weather

2- Keep your pet’s vaccinations up to date:

This will help protect them from potentially deadly diseases.

3- Get your pet spayed or neutered:

This not only helps reduce the risk of certain cancers, but also can help with behavioral issues like aggression or roaming.

4- Keep your pet at a healthy weight:

Obesity can lead to a host of health problems in animals, just like in humans.

5- Provide your pet with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation:

A bored pet is more likely to get into trouble – and cause destruction in your home!

6- Be cautious when introducing new foods or toys into your pet’s life:

Some animals have allergies or sensitivities that you may not be aware of.

Being a responsible pet owner is more than just feeding and providing water for your animal companion. It requires understanding the importance of proper care, such as regular checkups and vaccinations, adequate exercise, socialization, training and grooming.

Taking on these responsibilities ensures that you are doing your part to keep your furry friends healthy and happy for years to come. With dedication and patience, anyone can become an exemplary pet owner who loves their beloved companion unconditionally!

If you see any dog that is being abused, kept out in unhuman conditions, kindly report it to the authorities and do the right thing.
