It’s been almost two weeks since Fudgy, a rescue dog, went missing on February 26th at 7:30 PM after running away from his handler due to an unsecured collar. Despite the efforts of his owners and the community, Fudgy is still missing. However, there are some updates that may be helpful in finding him.
Fudgy has some unique traits and preferences that may make him easier to identify. He dislikes men with beards, darker skin tones, and those who are big in size, likely due to past abuse. However, he’s happy to approach ladies even if he hasn’t met them before. He also dislikes loud trucks and delivery motorcycles. Fudgy’s favorite food is roast chicken and his go-to snack is cheese.
Fudgy is a white and tan dog with black markings and pink markings on the tip of his nose. On his forehead, he has white markings shaped like a heart, and on his back, he has a black marking in the shape of a heart or sometimes a wolf’s head when he is seated on his back legs. He’s also microchipped with the Dubai Municipality collar tag D22097, and he’s been snipped down south (desexed – castrated).
There have been some sightings of Fudgy near the intersection of First Al khail and al Manara twice, on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings between 7-8 AM. Paw markings were also noticed on the opposite side of the road on March 4th. Owners have set up a cage with their personal belongings in hopes of luring him back. Fudgy may also be with other dogs, as there have been reports of several dogs in the area.
In the ongoing search for Fudgy, the owners have increased the reward to AED 5000 and are actively organizing daily search parties. They’ve also been distributing flyers in different languages and trying to contact the police and rescue groups to help bring their beloved pet home.
