Animals and Us Shelter Needs Your Help

With the summer fast approaching, most of the shelters are in dire need of your help with lots of dogs and cats being dumped in the streets or being left at the gates or in the vicinity of the shelters. We are shedding some light on how to help Animals and Us Shelter.

What is Animals and Us Fujairah?

The shelter located in Fujairah, was founded in 2006 by Michelle Francis, who is a fulltime teacher. She is an animal lover and has been a rescuer for 15 years.

Animals and Us Fujairah, is now faced with a crippling situation. On top of their vet’s bills and other house expenses, they now owe nearly AED 100k thousand to vets. With all the outgoing expenses, they have tried to do too much and save too many, but are now on the edge of closure yet again.

Current Animals and Us Fujairah Situation

In order to keep operating, the shelter needs to pay the rent, electric and water bills just like any other tenant. As they are not a government organization and don’t have major sponsors like corporations or “big name” foundation to support them, they are asking the community for support.

They currently have 400 dogs and 90 cats, under their care and have only reached this point trying to save the lives of animals that are being abused, injured, and threatened on streets – the number has grown to be too great!

How can you help the shelter?

They shelter has exhausted all their resources with trying to come up with new ideas all the time, and they have to focus on what works and won’t close the shelters doors completely.

With an outstanding amount of AED 59,924, their accounts are currently frozen until all their bills are cleared.

If you are able to donate anything, please consider donating and supporting the shelter, any amount helps and with the community coming together we can help save the shelter from closing its door.
