- IF the hook is not seen, Identify the quick (pink), barely push in front of it, and then trim from there

- Brush that hair up, if your dog has hair around paw pads
- Push on the back and grip by putting a finger on your dog’s pad
- Take very small sections of the nail at a time and trim
