Saudi Aramco Starts Olfa Animal Care to Help Stray Animals in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Aramco has introduced Olfa Animal Care Company, a non-profit organization focused on the welfare of stray animals in Saudi Arabia.
This initiative is committed to providing shelter, veterinary healthcare, and breeding control for stray animals, reflecting Saudi Aramco’s dedication to social responsibility and community welfare.
The company’s mission also includes promoting compassion toward animals in accordance with Islamic teachings and the principles of civilized behavior.
Olfa Animal Care Company aims to raise awareness and offer services that support community efforts across Saudi Arabia in treating animals with kindness and care.
Nabil Al-Jamea, Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Saudi Aramco, emphasized that the establishment of Olfa Animal Care Company aligns with the company’s commitment to enhancing community awareness and contributing to animal welfare throughout the Kingdom, particularly in the Eastern Province.
Olfa Animal Care Company has already formed a partnership with the Eastern Province Municipality to collaborate on various animal care initiatives.
This partnership will focus on controlling animal reproduction, improving the reporting of stray animals in neighborhoods, and establishing care and rehabilitation centers.
The initiative will also work on developing existing solutions, raising community awareness about animal welfare, and fostering a sense of responsibility in animal ownership. Additionally, Olfa will provide a volunteer platform for those interested in contributing to animal care.
The first phase of the initiative includes the launch of mobile veterinary clinics in the Eastern Province, offering essential services such as examinations, vaccinations, and sterilization.
Olfa Animal Care Company also plans to open its first animal shelter in Dammam by 2025, marking a significant step forward in the effort to improve animal welfare in the region.
